Hi yall new here, im trying to help my dad with his motor home ..

its a 2004 Ford E 350 super duty van chassis with a motor home body on it, i bought a electric brake controller for it along with the factory wire plug to go under the dash, when i plug it in the right turn signal lights up and stays on. any ideas why? the trailer lights work fine everything seems to be in order except the light problem.. thank you for your time...

 

Welcome to the site.
My first thought is that you either have a missing or poor ground for the trailer and it is using the signal lite system to complete the circuit.

 

thanks, i found it it was a dummy error LOL there is TWO factory plugs under the dash and one of them is wrong lol didnt read anything in the directions about 2 plugs... but after standing on my head for 1/2 hour i found it...
