When A/C is ON, Engine stop working.
Everything started yesterday.
I was driving from work, and I heard a strange noise in my car. Was the same noise like you are trying to drive with the brakes on. Today in the morning, I had to drop my kids at the daycare and I was thinking to test the AC when the car is not moving. I start the engine and I let it run for about 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes I turn the A/C on and the engine stop. I repeat the same steps like 3-4 times. The same results with no idea what is causing this problem.
I am driving a 2005 Ford Freestar with 3.9L engine V6, automatic transmission & FW drive
Please tell me what can be the cause and how can I fix it.
In dash there is no Check Engine or any light ON. No codes were found.
Thank you.

It sounds like the A/C compressor is seized, locked up.
You can confirm this by just putting the defroster on. The A/C compressor usually runs with the defroster activated. If the car stalls that kinda confirms it. If that is the case you have a few options, replace the compressor, don't use the defroster or have someone remove the wire to the compressor magnetic clutch so the compressor isn't required to work until you can arrange to have it checked out. You can drive the vehicle without the compressor working/ connected.

Yep, sounds like the compressor is siezed. Exact same thing my 2004 Freestar did. Squeal like crazy...then wham...engine stalls anytime the A/C is turned on. See my posts on how to properly replace the compressor and clean the system for a guaranteed repair.
