Won't shift out of OD
I got a 2003 F150 4x4 automatic . It shifts up and down and in overdrive while driving . But when I push the button on the shifter on the colum no light comes on saying off and can tell it has not shifted out of OD. I checked the button and the wires going under the dash they seemed fine but I replaced the shifter anyway and that didn't solve the problem . Had Autozone run a scan and it showed nothing . Is a transmission scan in order ? Maybe a bad solenoid ? Anyone have this trouble ?

There is a 10 Amp fuse, in the central junction box, specifically for the overdrive cancel circuit. You might want to start there and verify the fuse is not open.
If you remove the cover under the steering column (4 1/4 turn) screws, you should see the CJB (Glorified fuse box).
You might check the fuse, bottom row, and to the right, 4th fuse in from the r/s end.

you got that right !!! Checked the fuses and I remember doing that after I started but went ahead and pulled and tested the fuse and even put another new one in to be positive . I hope it is not going to be a wiring headache .
