Default 1987 Ranger 2.3L TROUBLES

I snagged this truck from my girlfriends fathers back yard a few months ago needing a head gasket. Took it to a well known shop in town and had a head gasket put on along with many other parts. It had been sitting for 2 or 3 year before I got it. Anyhow since I have got it back after I start it up in the morning it only runs about 1 minute before cutting off. Start it back up same thing. If you try to give it gas it hesitates but after working the gas for a few it finally stays running. So once it warms up the problem goes away. But also After driving it about a mile the oil pressure starts to go down according to gauge. Gauge could be wrong, I dont know. I need some help with this. I did go ahead and check compression on all cylinders was 185 to 190 on all. Thanks
