i have a 1996 ford f-150 4x4 and my automatic hubs are messing up so i am thinking about changing them over to manual hubs ! the dust cover has only 3 screws so what do i do in a case like that ? i read on here that all i do is take the cover off, take out the snap ring, pull the automatic hubs out and replace them with manual hubs ! by the way i am getting warn hubs ! i was told by advance auto parts i don,t have to fool with the transfer case to switch from automatic hubs to manual hubs ! i have the 4x4 and low lock button on the dash so i would appreciate it if you could explain it to me how to replace the hubs and how do i operate the button on the dash ! the lady at advance auto parts told me her husband just replaced the hubs in their explorer to manual hubs and all you have to do is lock them in and push the button on the dash for 4x4 or low lock position ! thanks guys !
