Default 97 ford taurus sounds like a diesel

I have a 97 3.0 v6 ford taurus. It sounds bad almost like a diesel and it kind of pings. i know cylinders 4 and 6 are misfiring is this why it sounds like this it is also dowm a little in power. Here are the trouble codes i have po411,p0133,p0304,p0306,p0171,and p0733. Please help me i need to fix this car. I know one of the codes is a o2 sensor could that cause the misfires? Sometimes it smells a little like gas and it only gets aroung 17 mpg. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks

What I should have asked is; what kind of maintenance has been done? History wise.

Oil and Filter changed every 3 months or so. I did change the spark plugs and the wires it felt a little smoother when driving it but not much and it still sounds bad and runs rough. Thanks
