It won't work for avatars. That is something you will need to do on your computer. You have seen where to upload the avatar in your profile? It meeds to be 145x145 pixels. Do you have any kind of picture software, maybe from a digital camera you have bought? If you do, open up the picture in that, look for edit size. Usually there is a place you can pick to change the picture size using pixels. Now there will be a height and width setting and it shows you whatthe current size is. Pick which ever one is the biggest anbd set to 145 and enter. It will adjust the other dimension automatically and should be smaller than 145 if it wasn't a perfect square picture. Then I would go to File and do a "Save As" and name it whatever with Avatar so you keep the original picture.
