Another newbie
Hey everyone. My name is Tyler.I'm 40ish and live in Ky.I recently bought an 89 Econoline van and wanted to chat with people who are more familiar with Ford's than me. I am a veteran motorcycle technician so working on stuff is no sweat for me.I always do my own work and have even fixed my car once when GM could not figure it out . I really like old (and new) muscle cars but my real joy is Pontiac's.I have a 97 Formula Firebird that I love. I am also a global moderator (one of 4)on a Firebird website so I know the rules of forums like these.I dont use foul language or cut people down or tease them on what they drive. I lok forward to learning more about this van I got.I like it alot so far.

Welcome, I too have a passion for cars other than blue oval, but I respect all makes and models. Spend most of my time on Moparts, but I enjoy helping others. I am a mechanic and work on many ford trucks, vans, cars. If there is anything I can do to help just ask.[sm=icon_cheers.gif]

Bought it back in 73-74 for 800.00!
Had some 'light' body damage, and muscle cars back then weren't worth the dirt they were parked on.. Back in the 'first' gas shortage.. Right after I bought the T/A I could have bought a 68 Shelby GT 500 convertable 'Black on Black' for 2500.00... Could barely give'm away.. NO.. I haven't taken it back there 'yet'.. I plan to though in the next few years.. It starting to show its age, and I'm going to do a complete on it and then show it.. Its bone stock right down to the 8 track 'with' the dealer demo tape..
The Busa still gets my respect
