Hi all, thanks for having me. I'm in a quandry. I really like the 06 explorer limited and I have a chance to buy one at a good price but, based on reviews I have read, it feels like a hit or miss car. Idle issues, heat door issues, electrical, coolant leaking, overheating, plastic intake manifold. The list seems to go on and on.
Are the problem percentages too high? The one Im looking at will at least need motor mounts replaced, and a idle issue that needs to be taken care of. (it stalls with AC on so maybe the idle sensor switch will take care of that).
It also, has a exhaust manifold leak that goes away after expansion (heat). It also, overheats when hot and AC on.
So, as you can see, there are issues but, I love the interior, cargo space, the ride and the 4.6 liter V8.
