Hey from Fl. Need help ID'ing a drive train
Hello and sunny wishes from flor-eh-duh. More of a bow tie enthusiast but I did used to own an '86 Cougar XR7 turbo 5 speed. Reason I'm here is to hopefully find a little info on something my dad picked up the other day.
Its an old United Tractor airport tug with a ford drive train. I found some numbers on the drivers side front part of the engine. Only the bottom numbers look like they were machined in, the rest look like they were hand stamped. They read:
4G
5 C (or could be an L or an O, not really legible)
6J
70
7F09k
Also found was an aluminum tag with a serial number, mode(L?) number, and model code. The mode(l?) number is LSG-4231-6007-2A and the model code is Z1A-Z00-JBA.
The next fun issue is the transmission. It has a Jasper Transmission tag at the front but I dont have those numbers on hand. On the back is a Ford tag. The ford tag reads F4ZZ-6068-A, 100694, and under Serv. Parts it reads P025A.
Can anyone help make sense of all these mystery numbers?
Thanks,
AuSSenseiter
