Default I'm New & Have a question

I have a 2000 Ford escort zx2 (116,000 miles) that is making this awful squeek/rabbit being killed noise when it idles, but when the engine is given gas it stops. The serpentine belt, timing belt, idler pulleys, and water pump have all been replaced.
I have had 4 mechanics look at my car and none of them can figure out what is wrong. I have confirmed that it is not the alternator or the ac pump/pulleys.

Any ideas?
I would be gratefull!!!

Have you tried running the engine without the belt on to determine if it is related to anything the belt drives? It could very well be coming from another area.

Always, always start with the FEAD belt (front end accesory drive; Ford is so proud of their acronyms). Take of the belt, and turn each pulley, and note the resistance/ease of rotation, and check for axial (in and out) play. A stethoscope will do wonders here, also. Fords are forever having bearing troubles with pulleys, especially the tensioner. Also, try some lube on the belt and see if it goes away or changes. Some aftermarket belts are not the best, and can make noise even when they're new.

Allison, are you able to do any of the checks that were suggested or do you need to have someone else do them?
