IM NEW say hi :)
Hi guys! I love my ford car! I am the proud owner of a little Ford Escort ZX2 1999 and i love this car I do! I don't want to let it die. Here is what I have done so far. I have early this year of 2009 replaced the tranny / Clutch / water pump / alternator / MAF unit / serp belt / timing belt / cams ( DOHC ) all new exhaust. as you can tell that is a good bit of money. now here is what it is doing.... I have in the past 2 months stalled my car in high water... that car did not want to turn over after I took apart the air intake where the filter is and nothing but water came out from where it tried to suck it in. then i took my plugs our and did as midas said i should do, By cranking over the motor with no plugs slowly as I did this i wiped out the cyclnders and bought new irduim core spark plugs for my car. ( Motocraft ). Now below my butterfly flipper on my air intake that mounts to my motor there is like a green tinted slime / oilish water, and I have no aparent leaks from my weep hole on my water pump and my radiator when filled with coolant appears to hold it just fine. The car will idle and run really great after I clean out the green ooze as I call it for about 3 days give or take a day. Then it will refuse to start, So i will pull the plugs clean them put them back in and clean the Green Ooze again and it fires right over np. Now I am stuck between a head gasket and Intake manifold gasket. Can someone for sure tell me which one it is? and about how much at the dealersip it will cost to fix it? I removed the oil cap and there seemed to be a green tint on the cap and on my oil dipstick. I am praying its just a intake manifold gasket over a head gasket but please be honest with me.
p.s. the kid who owned the car before me ran a toggle switch to the fan on the radiator directly, also to the thermostat sensor with an adjustable function and I am afraid to remove it, Why would anyone do this? I really do love my little car. I run only 92 in it and I have sea foamed the car even and that greatly improved it.

Welcome to the site,, sorry about the slow response..
When the car went into the drink, did it 'stall the engine' with the water intrusion and 'hydo-lock' the engine? Usually a greenish color indicates a antifreeze leak/bleed, or an white/oil will indicate a H2o contaminated oil.. In a hydo-lock condition it can easily bend a rod, and cause extreme compression pressures since the inhaled coolant won't compress.. When it causes a 'no start' does the exhaust puff clouds of white/steam when it finally does run? or is there an indication of coolant on the S/plugs when removed? (when your cleaning the plugs) or blow out any coolant with the plugs removed and then the engine cranked over on any of the cylinders? Is there's white gunk or water drops collected under the oil fill cap? or on the dip stick? or venting any steam there? If there is a coolant bleed/loss anywhere that would cause the engine to run rough and/or finally stall or cause a no start, it would surely show up as pressure/bubbles in the cooling system/coolant being pushed into the bottle, steam at the tail pipe, or an indication of coolant on the plug/s, under the cap ect..
Sounds like the car aleady had an overheat issue/s it someone added a fan circuit or a manual control..

no what happened is it couldnt get air and it killed the motor, then the water that was in my air intake slowly got into my chambers so to speak there is no white/oil issue under the cap at all, and as far as the no start issue goes, the plugs are usally soaked with not water or coolant but like a mix of coolant and gas? but soon as the car runs i shyt you not i can do 0-100 in felony time. im just at a loss here and i dont want my car to die.
