I have a 2005 Ford Five Hundred. My two overhead map lights, TS 212 bulbs stay on even after I exit the car in other words park over night. When I come in the morning they are still lit. I use the switches but they are still on. I don't even use the key. I just get in the car and close the door. I closed all doors and trunk shight tight. I tried switching them off but they still stay on. Why?

 

Because one of the door ajar switches is not working correctly. Sometimes, you can try lubing them with a silicone spray. It might loosen them up and let them start working (this is a really good PM trick to keep them working), and shutting the doors HARD a few times might work, might not. If not, you'll have to replace it.
