Need adult supervision
I need to find a good source of directions for placeing the universals, starter, and A/C clutch on my 1991 F-150. An e-mail contact with a knowledgeable person would help if I find I have run up on a snag. Took my licks in the last recession and need to perform these repair myself if at all possible.

Good Morning !
Welcome to the site.
Is it safe to presume you have done some mechanical repairs on your own in the past?
Since I don't know that, maybe I can offer a few suggestions, replacing the starter is quite easy, all you have is one heavy cable from the solenoid up top and the two bolts holding it on. Always compare the one you remove to the one you are installing.
Replacing the U joints can be trying unless you have a large and strong "C" clamp
or a vise that will open enough to accept the joint with a socket on one end and something else to press the joint out from the other side. Some guys beat them out, but they distort the flanges and then wonder why the joints don't last.
When Installing the replacement joints always try to have the grease fitting pointing away from the end so it is easier to lubricate and try to keep the lube fittings in the same plane when installing so they can all be lubed it once without moving the driveshaft.
As far as the A/C clutch you will need a special puller ,"to remove the pulley and install it". A/C compressors are delicate , believe it or not, and will not tolerate brutality, so use of the proper tool is recommended.
If you get hung up , a lot of experienced folks monitor this site and will glad be to offer help.
