Default New member....first time Ford owner

Glad to be here folks. After driving nothing but GM cars all my life I bought my first Ford last week. 2011 Ford Fusion Tuxedo Black. My dad is a retired GM employee with 42 years working at the Corvette assembly plant. He was a die hard GM fan and it was a sin to drive anything but a GM vehicle.

After my Cadillac Deville died a tragic death I decided it was time to look at other cars. Ford had been making some real nice cars the past several years and despite my dads excuses for GM's failed quality I decided to give Ford a try. In comparison with like models the Ford seemed a better car to me with superior fuel mileage. Interior was nicer and the ride and seats were better hands down. I drove the Fusion home and haven't looked back.

So now I'm really into Ford. I feel like I been lied to all my life about how crappy Fords are and how terrible their mpg's are. Typical GM fan brainwashing I think. Of course there was a time back in the 80s and 90s that you couldn't go wrong with either. But since the auto bailout I think Ford had been building superior vehicles and it shows in the Ford Fusion I took home. Glad to have a blue oval in the driveway I'm thinking a old school 60's F100 truck may be next. I've had a 69 chevy C10 so next time I'm gonna try a F100.
