New to USA FF
Hi everyone,
This is my first time on this forum. I live on the Gold Coast in Queensland Australia and am a regular member on the Australian Ford Forum and I just thought I'd jump the Pacific and share some Ford talk with you guys.
My ride is a 2006 Ford Falcon BF Typhoon sedan otherwise known as an F6. It is manufactured by Ford Australia and modified by FPV (Ford Performance Vehicles). It has a 4000cc turbo'd inline 6 developing 270kw (365hp) and 550ft/lb torque from 2000rpm. Straight off the showroom floor they do the quarter in low 13's. (13.3 is common, but one did a 12.9 last week). There are V8 FPV models available using the Boss 5.4 litre quad cam developing 290kw (390hp) but the low down torque of the F6 makes then quicker, and also with the i6 being lighter, they handle better than the V8's on the track.
It's available with 6 speed manual or 6 speed auto with sequential manual mode. I tested both and opted for the auto which is a ZF unit made in Germany and currently fitted to BMW and Aston Martin. In sequential mode this box changes faster than you can do it with a manual and posts faster quarter times.
I enjoy track work and took my F6 out recently to a Club day at a road course and had a bit of a speed.
If anyone's interested I'll post some pictures later.

Ok Bullitt94, hope these turn out OK. The colour is called Lightning Strike, and the outside appearance including the 18" wheels is stock.

Ok dude here'a a couple I took today for you as I didn't have any on file.
Having some trouble uploading the resized smaller pics. If they don't appear I'll try another way.
I've only uploaded two as I think they are full size .. here goes!

Thanks for the pics bro, your car is rad!
Hey, you should check out my sponsors link in my signature. They have a really cool kit that sprays the intercooler with CO2 which makes you intake air alot colder! If you're willing to take pics of the install and put thier logo in your forum sig they give you a "semi-sponsorship" (50% off retail) Its pretty cool, I'm putting one on my 03 Mustang GT right now. I can post a pic later.
