thanks for the info on changing the ARC suspension on my 89 SC T-bird. ripping the whole thing out is pretty much what I thought I would have to do. Haven't started yet as it's the only car I have. At least I know in which direction to start looking for someone who can do it.

thanks again to Going Strong for the info on the shocks in 2010. I gave up on finding variable shocks and put standard heavy duty shocks in. havn't had any problems. The system is still intact with the connecters disconnected. It makes the warning indicator flash occasionally. I havn't been driving it much the past two years and I plan to donate it to Father Joe's village here in San Diego. It has less than 141,000 on it. It needs the right cat replaced. I've put over $27,000 in it over the past 14 years and since I seldom drive it, it's time to move on.
If anyone in San Diego is interested, I'm donating it next week. I would love to keep it but, I have no place to work on it. I place about $4,000 as it's present value. Drive train and interior are in good condition. It's an 89 SC with 3.8V6,supercharged and 5 speed manual.
