Default Ford Fucos

No, I did not spell that wrong. We are overseas, and have a 07 Ford Fucos parking next to my 07 Ford Focus. The other car is a 5 door hatchabck. Hubby says that the Fucos is quicker.

I took pictures as I thought I was going nuts.

Any input appreciated!

That is crazy. If I saw that I would think that maybe the owner swapped the o and u to just mess with people?

who knows. Is that the only one you have seen?

We have been searching the base, we now look at every Focus to see if it is different. The o and s seem to be fused. I thought it was a Ford Mess-up that the people got a few dollars or euros off the price. But you never know.

It parks in front of my house every day or so, and it has been driving me buggy. My husband just told me that there is one now at the commissary. Is it a Europe thing? I was at the dealership today (CD player prob already with less than 8,000m) and the last Focus that their book had is a 2004. The new Focus listed is a C-max.

Thanks for the reply.

They are still Focus here in the states.

After you said the O looks fused to the S, I looked closer. I am going to bet that the person swapped the letters. Look at the U, there is a bit of space between the U and the other two letters, where the O is very close to the 2 letters on either side. The letters I see on cars are usually spaced equally.

The easy way to figure it out for sure is to look up the word Fucos in a language database and see if it means Focus overseas. If so Ford could be using the U.S. symbol and rearranging the letters themselves. Or contact a foreign dealer in writing or online? and ask questions (don't forget a return envelope).
