Hi,

I am pikereen.

I have read this thread and this is definitely a fourm worth following. You’ve got a great deal to say about this subject, and so much knowledge. I think that you know how to make people listen to what you have to say, especially with an issue that’s so important. I am glad to see this fourm. Two big thumbs up, man.

I have never had a problem with my GT500. 450,000 miles and it is running fine. The problem is that you need to take care of your car, the dealers make there money off of you taking it in, so they make sure there is something wrong for next time. Fix it yourself. My focus is just a new car and my new F-350 Just will never break down. Got a 2011 F-350 with 28,000 miles and it still is perfectly fine. Besides This is a FORD forum, respect the American corporation. The problem with america is that nobody wants to support it, they want to send money over to Germany and Japan. Support america and live in it, otherwise go over to Europe.

You brought up some good points, unfortunately, there aren't many if any vehicles made with parts made in the USA. Sure they're assembled here, but with parts made somewhere else. If you go any dealership for parts you will notice not very many, if any ,are made in the USA and that hurts. You think you are buying an American car, but "it just aint so".

That's free trade for y'all nothing is ever as good as it's supposed to be due to the hype that they put into it. I still think that if someone buys the crap then they get what they pay for!!! If you want american then make it yourself that's the only way you'll ever get anything made in the USA.

I agree to friends comment above. Every car is a mechanical machine and its tested for certain level of stress and capacity. The engineering department of Ford are so well equipped that they leave space for no down the time troubles PROVIDED the driver uses it sanely!! afterall its a machine. U need to take care of it else it will always give u trouble and thats with every company cars. visit http://automanix.com/category/ford/ for more detailed review on Indian products of Ford

I have owned new and used Ford, Dodge, Chevy, and Toyota vehicles. I have had used Fords out live the Dodge and Chevy. I only ow Ed o e Toyota do I wo t count that. Every vehicle has the potential to be a money pit though, no matter what model it is.

regardless what you have your bound to have trouble with it ! i owned chevys, dodges and fords and i had trouble with all of them ! i would have to say the fords i had over the years i had less trouble with them then any other ! vehicles are just machinery and it all depends on how well you take care of them !

yea I have to agree when I was young a long time ago I owned a 1967 fastback mustang with the factory 390 four speed set up needless to say that car was an animal but after that car seems like every ford I owned was was just a downhill slide

The Taurus has always had tranny problems. But I have a 1980 Ford truck with over 400,000 miles and the tranny has never been torn down. A 1985 e 150 van with 150,000 with no major problems. Also had 89 Buick that made 225,000 with no major problems until a tree fell on it. Buying a vehicle is a crapshoot, never know what you will get.
