A Holiday Poem For All

A Holiday Poem For All
I wrote this poem - hope you enjoy.
************************************************** ***
T'was a week before Christmas and although far from bored,
He went out to the garage to work on the old Ford.
With cold brew in hand he said with a mutter
I've got to find out what's causing that sputter.
He opened the hood and gazed at the motor
And decided to change the points, plugs and rotor.
Two hours went by and his hands full of oil
It was time to test the results of his toil.
He wiped off the car with a swipe from his mitten,
With a turn of the key it purred like a kitten.
Across the garage was a tool chest so heavy,
Now it was time to work on the Chevy.
While up on the lift he changed all the tires,
Then under the dash replaced all the wires.
A little more work it'll be shiny and new,
Pride puffed out his chest, two sizes it grew.
With everything going as planned so far,
He turned his attention to the project Mopar.
It had a drop top, four speed and plenty of power,
But to bring it all back would take many an hour.
It was all there although some was rotted and busted,
Along with a Hemi so tired and rusted.
He looked at his cars so many there were,
The time he spends working on them goes by in a blur.
But the time has come when duty does call,
He must travel the world bringing joy to all.
He must now leave his garage that certainly is clear,
Travelling not by classic car but by flying reindeer.
You see Santa's a car guy just like all of you,
And knows the joy of owning a cool car or two.
He's known all your wishes ever since you were young,
As you shut your eyes tight hoping your treasure would be brung.
It was bikes and pistols, games and darts,
And now what you want are shiny new parts.
Believe like you did and all will come true,
You'll get all those car parts and so much more too.
The warmth of the season burns in hearts big and small,
As we wish Merry Christmas to one and to all.

HayaPower is a lot kinder than the Peach-parts Moderator and gets a lot more involved. Thank you HayaPower for doing your duty and being a leader.
That was an awesome Poem and i think that Santa is a ***** for riding reindeer and not driving the Ford or Chevy.
