Default Your First Car

Seeming as I just bought mine, I thought I'd create a thread, for other members to share, as well as share their memories of the car!

Mine is a 1998 Ford Ka, 1.3L engine, 80000 miles, not great, but hey, does what it needs!

Hopefully I'll have some good memories of it, and will replace it with something a little nicer

Thumbs up

Mine, was at age 15 (law breaker even then parked from view at the end of our street. It was a 59 (?) Renault Gordini. Had a sun roof that leaked like the Titanic and grew a crop of mushrooms on the 70's **** carpet during the winter months. Was a fun little car, climbed hills well, ran very well on siphoned neighborhood gas and was much cooler then riding a bicycle around town. Actually, would be nice to have it now since none of my 4 wheel vehicles can seem to break the 16MPG range.

I'm set to buy my first car in a few month. Before that I used to drive my father's old silverado 2001 from time to time. Brings back a lot of memories with me..

Mercy, mine's bad. My very first car was a 1997 Subaru Station Wagon. It was red and I referred to her as "The Red Dragon." Ya know how most 16-year-olds are super amped about getting a set of wheels? Well, I really wasn't. Haha. That thing was ugly. Didn't help me too much with the ladies, either. In the end, I got in an accident (nobody was hurt, thankfully) and made a bit of an automotive improvement. Haha. Love this thread!

never heard or seen a ford ka. Is is sold in the north American market? Not in Canada that I have seen.

my first car was a 1984 fiero. although not great by todays standards; I loved the car. it was well known by tow truck drivers. In the end, it lasted 19 years and have over 300 000kilometers...and turned me into a auto mechanic. How many cars last that long in a rust belt!

hard to go wrong in that era. imo the late sixties probably produced the best looking cars of any time period.
