1940s and 1950s Ford Parts and Engines
Hi - I need to qualify anything I say on here by first disclosing that I am not a Ford enthusiast and I don't know squat about the classic Fords or the flathead motors. I do however know cars and like a good barn find as much as the next guy. A very nice older lady near me has a barn and silo full of parts that her husband collected during 16 years as the service manager at a Ford dealership in the 50's. These parts are located in O'Brien FL (near Lake City, FL)
Among MANY other things are 7 flathead V-8s - one that's been rebuilt, lots of axles, transmissions, bins of new and used parts, body panels, alternators/generators - you name it, its probably there. You'll need a 20' trailer to pull out everything.
Here's the deal - he passed away years ago and she wants to sell them. No one can catalogue and price them around here and so she'll sell all of them for one price. For $3500 you can bring a 20' trailer (enclosed would be good) and a friend and spend a full day loading out everything in the barn and silo. If you're lucky you can find everything and get it all loaded in a day - there's that much.
You may also end up buying one of the classic Fords she's got stuck under the barn... I think there's two - one looks pretty good.
I'd post pictures, but they aren't worth a darn because they're taken in a dark barn. If you're interested contact me through the forum. I don't have any stake in this - just thought the internet may be a way to help bring a buyer to someone with a ton of history in their barn.
