We have an 04 Escape Limited and the wife wanted to get something bigger to fit some extended family member that were comming to stay with us for a few months over summer. So we buy the 2000 Explore and put the 3rd seat in it. Ran great all summer, lots of family trips with a car full of screaming kids!! The wife never felt comfortable driving it, and since we never sold our Escape, she is now back to driving it. She feels more in control of a smaller vehicle, and everyone else in the world is safer with her in a smaller vehicle!! She will even admit that.
