Windstar/Aerostar The beginning of the minivan for Ford.

Could this be the problem with my vents and other issues? PIC

o.K. Omie. Everyone has to start somewhere.

One hint: if you don't now a term, let's say "grommet", make an "image" search in google and also try wikipedia for a definition. When I came to the States in the mid-eighties I used mail order catalogs to learn all these "do-dad", "thingamajig", and "whatchacallit" terms.

Did you replace the ignition parts?

Oamie, did you get it fixed?

In an earlier post you said you replaced the plugs, did you also replace the wires and the coil pack? My coil pack failed at 145000 miles or so.

I am actually waiting for UPS to get here with the coil pack today. Replaced the plugs and wires with no effect. I had stated that the egr port cleaning helped but in reality it really didn't much. I am hoping the new coil pack does the trick. We'll see in a few hours I suppose. After I get the car running right I need to replace the wheel bearings/hubs (bought the whole assembly as one unit) on the front. I have the parts, just need to get them installed.

Well, it was the coil pack. Whew. All good now except a problem it had before it went down. It idles a little high until it warms up. Drives me down the road with no foot on the gas. Once warmed up this quits. Honestly I'm just glad to have a vehicle now and can figure that problem out at a less crucial pace. And get the wheel bearings put on.

All of the info you've given has been awesome and I really appreciate the help.
