Default replacing water pump

On a 98 windstar 3.8 does the engine have to be pulled to replace water pump or whatever else that has to happen to get water pump out?I just bought another vehicle and and considering whether to fix or not.
Anyone need replacement parts if i decide to sell? Body and interior are very good.If interested i live in western ill.Thanks.

I had a shop replace my water pump on a '03 Windstar with the 3.8L engine. No, they did not take the engine out.

Default Replaced water pump in 98 windstar

The garage wanted $1400 to do it.My brother who works on mainly older cars installed a new water pump for $100 and wouldnt take anything for doing it. Im driving it now everyday.Its not loosing a drop of fluids either.
