Default Sliding door support - 98 Windstar

98 Windstar
The lower roller support at mid level of my sliding door is loose.
How do I access the retaining bolts?
Can they be reached by removing long narrow plastic?
Is this a cover?
Does this piece just snap out?
Any precautions required?

Or must I remove the entire piece of trim covering the inside of the door to reach the bolts?

Thanks,

Tony D

The lower 'guide to door' attaching bolts?

If so, the interior trim panel and moisturebarrier need to be removed to access the 3 bolts for tightening.. You'll need a helper to balance and support the door if you take the bolts out.. I can help you with the trim instruction if you need...

Hi,
Yes I am hoping the problem is just caused by loose bolts. If I can tighten them, it is a one person task. I suppose it could be something else broken in there.
The door is difficult to close. The lower roller support is binding. I can see/feel movement on the bracket when the door moves.
Can I access this piece via the (approx 24 " X 3") trim piece on the pane? If yes, does this pry off?
If it is necessary to remove the entire interior panel, what steps are necessary?

Thanks,
Tony D

Ok Guys. Holidays are over and I'm back to working on my cars.

I'll ask again:
Can I access the lower door support bracket mounting screws via the (approx 24 " X 3") trim piece on the panel?
If yes, does this pry off? If it is necessary to remove the entire interior panel, what steps are necessary?

Thanks,

Tony D
