Default Windstar Rear brake noise

I just replaced both rear brake lines, drums, cylinders, hardware kits, &shoes. The adjusters were in very good shape. I cleaned up the backing plate. The brake pedal isa little soft. I may have some air in the front lines. Here's the problem; I'm hearing a click or knock noise coming from the right rear. I pulled it all apart and checked things over. Nothing seems to be wrong but I still get that noise. It's only when I brake. The harder I push the pedal the more pronounced the sound. It's like a loud click or soft knock that slows down as the van reduces speed. The parking brake works good. I experimented with the parking brake; going real slow I pulled the parking brake real easy and get the same noise as I get with the brake pedal. Any idea what it could be?

does in only make this noise while moving or does it also do it while stationary? is it a high pitched click or more of a thud? is it a constant occurence? if it does when your not moving it could just be your adjuster doing its job. if it does it whilst moving and they're not properly adjusted your shoes could be bouncing off the drums while braking. the only other thing i could think of is... the friction surface clean and free of debris, gouges, grooves, and chips? i know you just replaced them so there shouldn't be. are you positive you got it back to together right? simply a spring in front ofanotherwhere it should be behind can cause problems... hmmmnn... puzzling. wish i could test drive it.

Try sanding the inside of the brake drum. They can sometimes act like a record if the drums were cut to fast. It will happen on one side and not the other because the left is pushing the brake shoes against the backing plate while the other side is trying pull them awayfrom it. Just try and put a nondirectional surface on it when you sand them. Something like a 150 grit should work.

The noiseonly occurswhile braking when the car is moving. It might be called a click but a solid/loud click or knock. Higher pitched than a thud. When I took it apart the second time I adjusted the brakes to an ever so slight drag on the drum. I can easily turn the drum with one hand. I looked it over and made sure all parts are very clean. The one thing that just occured to me is that the ABS sensor might be loose.
